First Love: Dr Martens.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Dr Martens have been around for decades and they are now coming very much back into mainstream fashion with Agyness Deyn as the face. I have ordered a pair and am waiting!

Once broken in, they are supposed to be one of the world's most comfortable brands since they were originally used as 'workmens boots'. Collaborations by a German and an Englishman created this boot and made the name more pronounceable.

The website is absolute heaven and  last year they also started producing clothing such as the checked shirt and other 'working' clothes that have helped make Dr Martens what they are today.

Dr Martens 1460 Boot £105.00 (Originals range from £95.00 up)

Dr Martens Ofira Shoe £110.00

Dr Martens Blythe Boot £42.00 (original price £70.00)

The extremely successful film 'This is England' & TV shows 'This is England 86' & '88'.

For The Boys: Pretty Green.

Being a fan of the Gallagher brothers, it would only be a matter of time before falling in love with their clothing lines. Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green label has some of the best mens' clothing I have seen in a while. Designed in terms of Liam's influences such as Lennon, and a capsule collection by the great Paul Weller, they are affordable and range extensively. The two main labels are Black & Green with black being smarter clothing and Green being casual. Think 'This is England' style fashion but managing to look very very good.

Prices start from around £40. If I were a boy, I would have the entire collection!
