Paris-Édimbourg Métiers d'Art 2012/13 CHANEL Show.

I am in love.
Earlier this week CHANEL displayed one of its finest Fashion shows in Scotland.
Held at Linlithgow Palace just outside of the capital, guests had an intimate dinner, everywhere lit with fire and had the sound of bagpipes playing.
The catwalk was staged as a wooden walkways under shelter in a square with a courtyard lit with torches. The set seemed like it was set in according to Vogue Dickensian style.

Leading and finishing the way was model Stella Tennant.
The clothes were of course very classical with Tweeds, Tartans, Pearls, Jackets, Coats and Scarves.
Everything looked stunning but here are my favourite catwalk looks.

It gives you the feel of being in the Scottish Highlands as well as that olden day twist with the ruffles, almost Elizabethan.

Karl Lagerfeld....I salute you.

Dressing Iconic.

Who else fantasizes about their favourite icons' dresses?
Well the V & A museum are currently exhibiting Hollywood costumes and Ballgowns.
Costume is one of the main effects for any good film.
Here are some of my favourite iconic gowns....and they are all from old and recent films made timeless.
Also certain celebrities that have made dresses famous...

Gone with the Wind 1939. Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara.

Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch 1955

Audrey Hepburn in my favourite movie Breakfast At Tiffany's 1961

Kiera Knightley in Atonement 2007.

Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in SATC 2008

Liz Hurley in THAT Versace dress 1994.

And of course...not forgetting Disney characters...

Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast 1991.

Beautiful.
